Described and illustrated in the Inventaire général... (1972) as a late 17th-century sandstone baptismal font; it has a square basin with the corners carved into high-relief foliage motifs; the upper part of the basin sides bears the date 1690 and an inscription in Latin capitals [cf. infra & Inscription]; the lower level, really the underbowl, has romboid shapes of floral ornamentation with a rosette in the centre; the slender pedestal base is square too, the stem being ornamented with rosettes above another romboid motif like the ones found on the underbowl. Listed in Palissy [ref.: IM67003418]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] H = 230 ; la = 230 [...] Date (gravée) ; inscription (gravée, latin) [...] 1690 [...] Sur la face supérieure, autour de la vasque : EX CONCESSIONE. R MI. D. V. G. CARTIGNY NON. DEIVRE [...] Couvercle en cuivre moderne".
