Described in the Inventaire général... (1972) as a mid-16th century baptismal font; the monolithic unmounted font is octagonal with chamfered upper and lower ends; one of the sides bears the date 1542 inside a "cartuche". The inside well is hemispherical. The source [cf. supra] gives its provenance as Issenheim and moved later to the Florival museum; it has been repaired with mortar and reinforced with an iron bar.
