Described and illustrated in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. IV*: 51 and fig. 31) and in Domeño (1992: 135) as a medieval composite font; the square Romanesque base narrows in its middle; the upper register is ornamented with a blind round arch arcade, complete with capitals and columns; the centre register has a striated or fluted pattern on two opposite sides and circles on the other two; the lower register has crosses inscribed in hexagons; the plain hemispheric basin is of a later date. The entry in the Gran enciclopedia Navarra (1990) points out the composite nature of this font and the resemblance of the base to a Roman altar, although both the CMdeN (ibid.) and Domeño (ibid.) suggest a medieval dateline for this object. There is no precise dating offered for the basin; Domeño (ibid.) writes 'of a later date' ["taza [...] posterior"]; the CMdeN (ibid.) suggests either a modern piece ["pieza moderna"] or, perhaps, the re-tooled original ["la original retallada"].
