Scene Description: notice the square notch cut into the upper rim, probably for a cover lock, and the irregularity of the upper rim; the latter may have been due to damage or to the stone being used to sharpen farm implements

Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?-) as a stone baptismal font of a type common in this valley [Urraúl Alto]: roughly hemispheric basin ornamented with half-ball motif contained in four vertical roll mouldings; horizontal roll moulding at the rim topped with smaller ball motif; the stem of the base is a truncated cone ornamented also with a row of ball motif and an upper roll moulding. Described in Domeño (1992) as a Romanesque baptismal font. much in the same terms as the CMdeN. The Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008) identifies four human torsos between the rows of ball motifs, and cites similar font basins at Aristu, Elcoaz, Jacoisti, Ayechu, Ongoz. Irurozqui, Arangozqui and Zabalza, in the same valley, and Azparren, Equiza, Uli Alto, Meoz and Igal in nearby areas.
