Described and illustrated in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. IV*: 565 and pl. 748) and in Domeño (1992: 184 and pl. 52): late-Romanesque baptismal font of the early 13th century; the basin is roughly cylindrical, the lower end slightly narrower; the sides are ornamented with a blind arcade of round arches and a row of ball motif; the stem of the base is cylindrical with mouldings; the lower base is round and is ornamented with ball motif, semicircles and crudely rendered haloed heads. Bilbao (1996) compares the head motifs in the font at Pariza (Burgos prov.) with those of the Navarrese fonts at Artariain, Orbaiceta and Zuazu. Flat and plain wooden cover. Simeón Hidalgo Valencia (e-mail of 2 May 2014 to BSI) suggests the existence of a workshop in the valleys of Izagaondoa, Lizoáin, Unciti and Urraúl Bajo, which would include the fonts at Artáiz, Cemboráin, Grez, Idoate, Lérruz, Najurieta, Reta, Zuazu, and others in the area.
