Font Notes:
Described in Hubbard (1986) as "an ancient bowl, retooled when brought back into the church in 1843." The Wrexam Council web site [www.wrexham.gov.uk] informs that Christ Church "originated in 1841 following the formation of the Parish of Rossett out of Gresford Parish, but was replaced in 1892 by today's building". This same source informs that the font came from the old building, but does not go into the earlier origins of the font, and that the font is at present [ca. 2006?] "in the church grounds" -- e-mailed the contact asking for further info & image 14 Sept. 2006].
