Font Notes:
Baptismal font described in Newman (1995) as an "octagonal medieval bowl, modelled with more variety than usual." The entry for this church in the Gower Ministry Area [https://gowerma.org/penclawdd-church/] [accessed 28 April 2025] suggests a font of a composite nature: "The font has an octagonal bowl which seems to be much older than the pillar below", and shows a photograph of the font standing at the end of the nave, on the south side; the basin is moulded, with a tapering underbowl; the octagonal pyramidal font cover has a cross finial.
