Described and illustrated in Orrin (1988): "The best example of a late Perpendicular font [in the Vale of Glamorgan] [...] The font has an octagonal goblet-shaped bowl with moulded rim. The bowl is decorated on each panel with a piece of scroll-edged strapwork and typical Tudor flower decoration. The pedestal shaft rests on an octagonal base." Described in Newman (1995) as "an interesting piece. Of stone, octagonal with a cartouche on each face, on an octagonal stem", and gives the mid-17th century as the most likely date for this font. [cf. Index entry for Llantrithyd No. 1 for a Norman font in the churchyard]
