Font Notes:
Lewis' Dictionary of 1848 reports that the ancient church "contains a font curiously sculptured". Described in Newman (2000) as "a most remarkable C15 conceit, the shaft original, the bowl a C19 copy. Covered in hearts outlined by rolls, each heart enclosing IHS." The basin probably a replacement during the 1888 restoration.
