Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966- ) simply as one of two (?) stoups carved out of the old capitals from the chapelle Saint-Laurent. [...] Milieu 11e siècle ; 1er quart 12e siècle". Illustrated in Mérimée [ref.: PA00087551]. Le patrimoine des communes des Yvelines (2000) illustrates one of them, which it dates to the 11th or 12th century, on the basis that the capitals which hold up the basins come from the seigneurial chapel of Saint-Laurent, founded in 1060 by Amaury I, and destroyed during the Revolution. They are composite stoups, the polygonal basin, probably of a later date, sitting awkwardly on the old capitals. The capital base illustrated in the source mentioned has large acanthus leaf ornamentation; the basin is plain.
