Noted in D'Arbois de Jubainville's Répertoire archéologique de la France, in Emmanuele Wouillez' Répertoire archéologique de l'Oise (1862: p, 37). Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966- ) simply as a stone baptismal font dated to 1544. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM60001752] [https://www.pop.culture.gouv.fr/notice/palissy/PM60001752] [accessed 3 January 2022]: "Fonts baptismaux (cuve baptismale à infusion) [...] Marbre veiné (rouge) : taillé, poli, mouluré [...] Ornementation (godrons, denticules, frise) [...] 2e quart 16e siècle [...] 1544". The font consists of an octagonal basin with a pronounced upper rim graded moulding below which is a row of round arch-heads; an inscription incised below; next dow is another moulding somewhat similar to the one above, but this one with a narrow foloage vine below, while the underbowl is decorated with a broad and irregular ribbed-like pattern [NB: not really ribs, but apptly described in one soure as "deux rangs de grosses nuées"]; on an octagonal base the panels of which have floral/foliage motifs in lozenge frames, or, at least in one case, bears an inscription. The font cover is flat and plain, an octagonal frame part of which opens for access. The interior of the basin well appears to have been partitioned in lead, but the partititioning is not original. [NB: we have no information on the original font of the 12th-century church here].
