Listed and illustrated in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966- ). Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM76000273]: "font baptismaux [...] 16e siècle [...] cuve à 8 pans dont chacun présente en bas-relief un buste féminin symbolisant une des vertus théologales ; la margelle est godronnée ; pied octogonal décoré de losanges ; couvercle en chêne très haut, formant une pyramide ornée de panneaux sur 2 étages ; le couvercle est maintenu par une tige de fer forgé en torsade". Ilustrated in Mémoire [(NUMP) DSF 2157 V]. The font consists of an octagonal basin with a pronounced lip moulding at the upper rim; the eight sides are framed with buttress-like decorations at the angles, each containing a different (?) motif; the panels themselves have round arches on columns with capitals, each arch housing the demi-figure of a female [saint?] with her attributes; at the lower end of the basin is a flat moulding but most of it is damaged, some portions broken off; the underbowl is round, its sides decorated with a pattern of broad ribs all around; the short octagonal stem of the base has nested quadrangles on the sides; the moulded lower base is also octagonal. The tapering pyramidal wooden cover on the font is octagonal and about twice the height of the font itself; each side of the pyramid is divided vertically into two panels, the angles decorated with moulded piping; the metal finial is in the shape of a Latin cross on an orb.
