Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Rosatelli (2000): the shallow round basin of the stoup has a band of foliage ornamentation under the protruding lip of the upper rim; underneath, stylised ribbed pattern covers the surface of the underbowl. The upper base resembles three (?) sets of eagle (?) wings hugging the underbowl, while the stem of the base is made of several "putti" (three?) who have fish appearinng between their legs. In the middle of the basin well rises an octagonal platform on which stands -almost as tall as the rest of the stoup- a male bearded figure dressed in fine vestments. The magnificent stoup is, as Rosatelli informs, the work of Antonio Federighi and was executed in 1495.
