Baptismal font listed in Palissy [ref.: IM37000731]: calcaire : taille directe, décor en demi relief [...] Décor en demi-relief pour les têtes ; fonts baptismaux de forme hexagonale, bassin creusé de 8 cannelures [...] bord extérieur de la cuve orné de têtes [...] provenance inconnue [...] 12e siècle (?). An additional entry, also in Palissy, [ref.: PM37000095] notes: "Cuve baptimale [...] pierre [...] Plan d'un octogone irrégulier [...] 12e siècle". Described by E. Pépin in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966- ) as a hexagonal baptismal font of the 12th century ornamented with heads. Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes d'Indre-et-Loire (2001, v. 1: 538) as a monolithic hexagonal unmounted baptismal font of unknown origin; the basin well is multilobed, with eight indentations; there are human heads ornamenting the upper (outer) basin sides. The 'indentations' are really an irregular pattern of concave ribs which, if they are original, would push the date of the font into the 13th century.
