Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966-, III C 86) simply as a cubic stoup ornamented with Romanesque geometric motif. Described and illustrated in Le Patrimoine des communes de la Vienne (2002, v. 2: 979) as one of the oldest holy-water stoups in Vienne; the quadrangular stoup shows two volumes, almost of the same height, the lower a few inches thinner; the upper volume, the basin, is ornamented with a large Latin pattée cross, checquered and lozenge motifs. The surface of the stone appears to be covered in a marbling wash. It rests on a low modern square plinth [Flohic ref. no.: 86250502]
