Font Notes:
Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966- ) as a baptismal font in the old priory church; it is vat-shaped with imbricate (scallop?) ornamentation. Palissy lists the font and enclosure in this church [ref.: PM17000912] as 18th-century: "Ensemble des fonts baptismaux daté probablement du 18e siècle [...] Cuve et balustrade entourant la cuve, formée d'un ensemble de balustres à deux pans [...] pierre : taillé". Palissy also lists a holy-water stoup [ref.: PM17000913] in this church, also 18th-century: "Bénitier daté probablement du 18e siècle [...] pierre : taillé]". It is not clear from the sources whether the 'ensemble' is 18th-century with a vat-shaped 12th-century basin, of the whole thing is of the later date.
