Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966- ) as a Romanesque capital of the 12th century now serving as holy-water stoup; it is believed to be originally from Moissac. The town's WEB site <http://www.amf82.com/stpauldespis/acceuil.htm> gives de ornamentation as ribbed pattern and the provenance as "l'abbaye de Moissac". Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM82000226]: "Bénitier creusé dans un chapiteau [...] Chapiteau provenant de l'abbaye de Moissac recreusé en bénitier au 17e siècle [...] H = 35 ; la = 53 ; L = 68 ; p = 15 [...] Près de la porte du cimetière [...] Ornementation (lotus, godrons, cartouche) [...] Cartouche aux armes de l'abbaye de Moissac".
