Aime / Éma

Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966-) as a baptismal font bearing the Aime coat-of-arms and dated to 1571 [presumably by inscription?]. [NB: to judge from this photograph, it appears that the two originally unrelated objects -font and stoup- were at some point cemented together to make up a 'double font'; each has its own cover: the former stoup a simple square, flat and plain cover, whereas the font itself has a rim-buffet cover of octagonal shape, somewhat incongruous with the circular shape of the font basin].
