Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966-) as a baptismal font bearing the Aime coat-of-arms and dated to 1571 [presumably by inscription?]. A 29 October 2022 photographs of the font and stoup by Florian Pépellin captioned "Vue de l'ancien bénitier et fonds [sic] baptismal avec son couvercle, dans l′église Saint-Sigismond d′Aime, en Savoie." are available at [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bénitier_et_font_baptismal_Église_d'Aime_(octobre_2022).JPG?uselang=fr] [accessed 18 April 2025]. [NB: to judge from this photograph, it appears that the two originally unrelated objects -font and stoup- were at some point cemented together to make up a 'double font'; each has its own cover: the former stoup a simple square, flat and plain cover, whereas the font itself has a rim-buffet cover of octagonal shape, somewhat incongruous with the circular shape of the font basin]. Additional photographs by the same author [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vieux_Bénitier_aux_armoiries_d'Aime_(octobre_2022)_1.JPG?uselang=fr] and [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vieux_Bénitier_aux_armoiries_d'Aime_(octobre_2022)_2.JPG?uselang=fr] [accessed 18 April 2025] show details of the decoration and inscription on the 'stoup'.
