There is a ca. 1871 pencil sketch by Victor Ruprich-Robert "Fonts baptismaux dans l'église Saint-Nazaire de Carcassonne" of the object catalogued; the drawing shows the lower base in a detail that it is no longer discernible on the actual work [https://www.musee-orsay.fr/en/artworks/fonts-baptismaux-dans-leglise-saint-nazaire-de-carcassonne-62906] [accessed 29 September 2022]. Described in the Dictionnaire des églises… (1966-) simply as a 12th-century stone baptismal font. A more accurate description of the actual font is given by Devezes (2001: 46 & ills.) Illustrated in Mémoire [AP11W00320]. On-site notes: the baptismal font found in the cathedral of St-Nazaire did not match the description of the Dictionnaire… [cf. supra]; the font is plain, with a quasi-cruciform shape of the top outer part of the basin; the font is made of streaked marble and it is more likely dated to the 1430s, which would put it in the same period as the chapel itself. [NB: the object listed in Palissy and dated 12th-century but the date is hard to accept, as the helicoidal arrises are usually characteristic of late-Gothic fonts]/
