Listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM42000408] where the date is given as 16th-century without any comment on the possibility of its being a composite object: "Un boudin forme l'extrémité supérieure de ce bénitier. Described in the Dictionnaire des églises... (1966-) as a stone stoup of the 16th century supported on two lions. This stoup is noted and illustrated in Les richesses de Pouilly-lès-Feurs [www.forez-info.com/actualite/35/44-les-richesses-de-pouilly-les-feurs.html] [accessed 23 February 2017]: "Le grand bénitier est un vestige de l'époque monacale.
