Illustrated with an engraving by Orlando Jewitt in Suckling (1846-1848). Illustrated in Parker (1855), with the same engraving. Described and illustrated in Bond (1908) as an octagonal mounted baptismal font of the 15th century in the Perpendicular style; the octagonal basin has the Evangelists' symbols and Tudor roses alternating in the panels, all deeply carved and surrounded by moulded frames; the corners of the underbowl chamfer have cherubs, their wings covering the space in between; the stem of the base is also octagonal with sedente lions at every-other angle and the lower base is square. It appears in good state of repair.
