Described in Ennabli (2000): the font is cruciform ("cuve en croix") with an octagonal bottom and accessible via two sets of stairs; it was lined with white marble plates and surmounted by an octagonal ciborium supported on eight columns of Chemtou marble; the area around the font was covered with beatiful mosaics. The baptistery is located next to the basilica and was probably accessible through a door which opened directly into it; the shape of the baptistery building is described as having a square plan around an octagonal structure. This same source states that the shape of this baptistery was almost identical to those of Aix-en-Provence, Riez, Marseille, etc.
