Listed and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes d'Ille-et-Vilaine (2000) as a 15th century granite double font: it appears to be one piece, the two polygonal basins and the base; the basins have a single scotia running all around the sides; the basin side facing the wall has a coat of arms which is reported illegible now but which the source [cf. supra] assigns to one of the abbesses. The entry for this place in the site of the municipality [https://www.saint-sulpice-la-foret.fr/cadre-de-vie/decouverte-de-la-commune/20-histoire/7-les-interets-archeologiques-et-historiques] [accessed 11 April 2017] identifies "les armes de Jeanne II de Milon (1482-1498)" on the reverse of the 15th-century cemetery cross, the baptismal font and the apse of the church. This identification as well as the date 1520 carved on the font is also mentioned in the site http://fr.patrimoniumsanctisulpitii.wikia.com/wiki/NOTRE_DAME_DE_LA_FORÊT_ou_NOTRE_DAME_DU_NID_AU_MERLE [accessed 11 April 2017]: "Les Fonts Baptismaux de granit, à double cuvette, portent curieusement la date de 1520, en creux, (signe d'époque troublée).
