Church/Chapel: Eglise Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité
Church Patron Saints: The Nativity of St. Mary
Country Name: France
Location: Val-d'Oise, Île-de-France
Directions to Site: In the canton de Luzarches, arrondissement de Montmorency
Date: December 12, 1556
Century and Period: 16th century(mid), Renaissance
Church Notes: The original 13th century temple suffered much in the Hundred Year War; it was rebuilt in the 16th century (Le patrimoine des communes du Val-d'Oise, 1999, v. 1, p. 465)
Listed and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes du Val-d'Oise (1999): the round basin has a protruding lip-like rim and has ribbed pattern on the sides and underbowl, on one of the sides a lion head on it; the "lip" of the rim bears an inscription in French, Hebrew and Latin [cf. Inscription]. There is a plain flat wooden lid covering it. The square pedestal of the base is obviously not the original nor does is suit the basin; it looks like a Roman altar.
