Described as one of two medieval stoups in the "collection lapidaire du Musée archéologique de Dijon" (Sculpture médiévale en Bourgogne, 2000). It is a rectangular capital-like object with a well hollowed out of it to serve as stoup; the source [cf. supra] is uncertain about the original intended function of this object, as well as of its origine and provenance. It has an oval inside shape and is centrally drained, with a reported crack along the longer side. The ornamentation appears only on one side, with two sets of practically identical motifs: acanthus leaves (sort of "M" shaped" with upper rivulets) under an upper rim of saw-tooth motif.
