Listed in Le Patrimoine des communes de la Meuse (1999, v. 1, p. 447) as a 17th century baptismal font. Although roughly chalice-shaped, it is rather inelegant and heavy-looking, its ornamentation consisting chiefly of a ribbed pattern around the underbowl and a thin moulding half-way down the stem of the base. According to our source (cf. supra), it was originally from the old 16th-century church, but spent many years half-buried in the ground at the place des Platanes, until finally returned to the church in 1995.
