Listed in Le Patrimoine des communes de l'Allier (1999, v. 2, p. 709) as an early font which spent centuries relegated to the garden of the presbitery and was brought back into the church in 1998. It has a hemisperic basin slightly wider in its middle and a small round base which may or may not be the original one. One of the sides of the basin shows a large crack and signs of a crude repair. Although the source [cf. supra] states that "sa réalisation archaïque peut faire penser à une oeuvre carolingienne"[=the archaic workmanship is reminiscent of a Carolingian work], it is very unlikely that it goes any farther back than the 12th or 13th century, which would put it at about the date of the beginning of the church, itself in the 13th century.
