Listed in Le Patrimoine des communes de l'Allier (1999, v. 1, p. 537) as a holy-water stoup of probably composite nature: the crudely carved Romanesque base, has four constructional rounded pillars; the basin is bucket-shaped. The Arfeuilles local web site [www.arfeuilles.fr/eglise.html] [accessed 13 January 2017] and the blog Lieux Sacrés [http://lieuxsacres.canalblog.com/archives/2007/04/23/4739264.html] [accessed 13 January 2017] provide some information on the history of the ancient and new church buildings, the latter with a reference to and a photograph of the ancient stoup.
