Listed in Le Patrimoine des communes de l'Allier (1999, v. 1, p. 486) as a baptismal font of the 17th century. Noted and illustrated in Les secrets du Pays d'Huriel [www.cc-pays-huriel.com/communaute-de-communes/les-communes/mesples/] [accessed 16 April 2017]: "L’édifice date de la période romane mais a été l’objet de plusieurs campagnes de rénovation. A droite en entrant dans la nef, se trouve une cuve baptismale monolithe de forme conique du XVIIe". The monolitic object is shaped like an inverted truncated square pyramid, the only visible ornamentation being a scotia under the upper rim and a Latin cross on one of the sides.
