Listed in the Patrimoine des communes de l'Allier (1999, v. 1, p. 216) as a cast-iron stoup, in the shape of a mortar or bucket, quite similar to those which abound in Burgundy and are listed in the Index. It is raised on a handsome but sober cylindrical column.
