Enlart (1902) mentions a few stoups which were restricted to specific users; the one at Milhac de Nontron was, according to Enlart, reserved for the lepers ("les lépreux avaient à bon droit leur bénitier spécial", such as the ones at Saint-Savin [cf. Index entry] and this one. [cf. also the Index entry for Angers No. 3 for another category of "restricted" stoups]. On-site notes: we did not find any such stoup in this church; there are two 17th or 18th-century hemispherical stoups, one at each side of the entrance [cf. Index entries for Milhac-de-Nontron Nos. 3 & 4], and an odd-shaped font [cf. Index entry for Milhac-de-Nontron No. 2] also of late date.
