Baptismal font dated by an inscription to 1617; listed in Palissy [ref.: IM68005551]: "fonts baptismaux [grès] [...] date 1617 gravée sur le pied [...] Couvercle en cuivre moderne". Le Patrimoine des communes du Haut-Rhin (1998) lists and illustrates a pedestal font dated by an inscription to 1617. The hemispheric basin has a prominent ribbed pattern all around and is separated from the stem of the base, itself ornamented with fluted motif, by two round mouldings; the lower base is square and has two thin bands of decorative motif (?). This source reports the dome copper cover topped with a finial cross as being modern; the font itself is said to have originated in the old church of Husseren [NB: the old church was demolished in the late 19th century, and a new built on the same site soon thereafter]
