Palissy lists two baptismal fonts in this church: the one from 1615 [ref.: IM67004291, and another, more modern, of the 18th century [ref.: IM67004292]. According to one source (Le patrimoine des communes du Bas-Rhin, 1999, v. 2, p. 1141) this early 17th century Renaissance font is the work of Hans Faber, one of the Faber family of artists of Saverne. It is a sandstone octagonal basin profusely ornamented and mounted on a square stem and a square lower base. The sides of the basin have the four Evangelists, two Fathers of the Church and a scene of the Baptism of Christ, all under an arcade which has cherubs in the spandrels. The underbowl and the stem of the base are decorated with foliage. There is a metal octagonal dome cover, probably modern, topped with a cross finial. This font is also described and illustrated in the Inventaire général... (1978) in which the two Fathers of the Church are identified as St. Ambrose and St. Augustin; this source confirms that the "archives communales" have a Hans Faber being paid the sum of "30 livres pour l'exécution des fonts baptismaux." [NB: four evangelists + baptism + two fathers = 7; we have no information on the remaining eighth panel of the basin]
