Font Notes:
A very ornate holy-water stoup in polychrome stone, dated in the source to the 17th century. The basin is rounded and has a grimacing figure -not unlike the horned devil in a stoup in Dinan- surrounded by foliage. The inside of the basin is lined with lead. The backdrop of the upper basin has a tall winged angel protecting two small praying children. There is a separate canopy resembling an architectural structure with Ogee arches and windows above the stoup. The group is identified in the source [Patrimoine..., Nièvre, 1999, v. 2, p. 896] as "Sainte Geneviève et un ange". The angel is certainly a custodian angel.
