Described and illustrated in Patrimoine.., Nièvre (1999). Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM58001117]: "Bénitier en forme de mortier [...] métal : fondu [...] Décor de têtes humaines ou animales [...] 17e siècle". Typical bucket-shaped cast-iron water-stoup of the Burgundy area; this one has several small heads on one of the several bands which make up the sides, and also three rings hanging from loops as handles. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original 9th- or the later 12th-century church here]
