Font Notes:
A composite stoup made up of two capitals (?). The inside of the upper one has been carved out to hold the holy water and is ornamented with intricate foliage motif. The lower capital, which, inverted, serves as base, is probaly of an earlier date than that of the basin and is decorated with simple but beatifully executed acanthus leaves. The source suggests that one of the capitals may be originally from the old collegiate church at Frasnay-les-Chanoines. (Patrimoine…, Nièvre, 1999, v. 1, p. 142). [On-site notes: church locked on the two occasions of our visit; unable to gain access]
