17th century water stoup of a type common in the area: shallow round basin with ribbed pattern ornamentation on the underbowl; the stem of the base is round, bulbing slightly at the bottom, around which it has a shallow arch incision. The source (Le patrimoine des communes des Alpes-Maritimes, 2000, v. 2, p. 589) suggests that it may have functioned as baptismal font in the past and also gives details about the inscription on the basin: Urbain Lambert, one of the names included, was a prior at Falicon, while the other two names mentioned, Sébastien Lavella and Simon Ellena, were 'syndics' of the town in 1606.
