Cloquet (1890) mentions this font has having four human heads at the basin sides and being "monopédiculée et plus recente" [NB: the other fonts referred to in that paragraph are dated mostly to the 11th to 13th centuries], but the present font at the former abbey church is modern, probably 18th-century, consisting of an oval basin raised on a pedestal base that is round (?) at the top but triangular at the bottom; marble; font cover also oval, with two leaves hinged at the centre -- was the font Cloquet saw ["plus recente"] also modern?].
