Font Notes:
Corblet (1881-1882) reports that St-Avit of Vienne [b. ca. 450; died either 518 or 525] had the old baptistery of Vienne totally rebuilt, ornamenting it with rich works in marble and mosaic, and he also had built an acqueduct to carry the water for the baptismal basin.
