Primuliacum / Prémilhac nr. Saint-Sulpice-d'Excideuil / Prémilhat nr. Montluçon / Primiliacum

Corblet (1881-1882) relates that Sulpice Sévère, saintly bishop of Bourges, had two churches built separated by a baptistery in Primiliacum, a site whose present location is unknown [cf. Directions for possible locations]. Saint-Paulin, bishop of Nole, composed, at Sulpice's request, a number of inscriptions, of which one, a long twelve-line stanza, is recorded in Corblet (Ibid.) Elorriaga (1998: 521) mentions a text from the inscription at the baptistry of Primuliacum, in the Gaul, the text supposedly by St. Paulinus of Nola (d. 431).
