Un groupe sculpté en bois représentant le baptême surmontait le couvercle original. Des angles saillent les statuettes en haut relief : saint Georges, la Vierge et l'enfant, saint Paul, sainte Ursule, saint Sébastien et sainte Catherine [...] 115 h; 120 la [...] Inscription et date (sur la ceinture supérieure de la cuve) : NOBILITATE ET PIETATE INSIGNES RUDOLPHUSS A NEUSTEIN ET MARIA URSULA A FLACKHSLAND CONJUGIS, HOC BABTISTERIUM AD GLORIAM DEI FIERI CURARUNT 1624 [...] Sur les 6 pans de la cuve sont représentés les 6 sacrements en bas-relief : l'eucharistie, la confession, l'extrême-onction, l'ordination, le mariage et la confirmation, le baptême était symbolisé par le groupee sculpté en bois qui surmontait le couvercle original (baptême du Christ).
