Celle-ci était apparemment en chantier mais ne fut achevée que vers 1220'; much modified in later periods
Le Patrimoine des communes du Bas-Rhin (1999, v. 1, p. 694) describes this font as being of the end of the 15th century, in a late Gothic style. The octagonal basin is ornamented with interlacing branches of foliage which continue on the underbowl and down the cylindrical stem of the base where they form tall slender Gothic arches. The lower base has several thin layers of polygons widening out towards the bottom. The tallish metal cover is modern and pyramidal in shape, topped with a "diving" dove in a circle. Listed in Corblet (1881-1882) simply as 15th or 16th century font.
