Described in Corblet as a Renaissance urn-shaped font made of red marble supported on griffins and raised on a triangular plinth. (Corblet, 1881-1882, v. 2, p. 143, *under Var dépt.). On-site notes: though dated to the 17th century it could be an 18th-century work due to the highly stylised griffins and urn design. The basin is actually oval and the base rectangular.
