Listed by Corblet (1881-1882) as being a 9th or 10th century font. [NB: not known whether or not this is the stoup cited in Enlart and listed in the Index as Elne No. 2]. This is probably the same font which Delcor (1973) refers to as a plain round Romanesque stone basin. Described in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XIV: 214) where it is dated to the 12th or 13th century. On-site notes: there are two hinge marks on one side and another one on the oposite side of the upper rim surface; the drain hole of the basin is 10 cm. in diameter; the octagonal base on which the font stands is modern.
