Octagonal mounted font dated 1511 on an inscription at the top; the basin is octagonal with a round moulding as upper rim, below which it has a band of deep-relief foliage motif; the sides of the basin, though they can probably be said to be part of the underbowl, are covered in a variant of Ogee quatrefoil motif, with slanted sides, each panel framed in round moulding; the base is also an octagonal block, the upper volume slightly narrower than the lower one, with a large point-and-base motif (a/p Le patrimoine des communes de Nièvre, 1999, v. 2, p. 663). This font is listed in Corblet (1881-1882) simply as having the date 1511. Listed in Palissy [ref.: IM58000543]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] Plan (hexagonal) [...] Calcaire [...] Ornementation (ornement à forme végétale, ornement à forme architecturale) [...] H = 113 ; d = 89 ; pr = 23 (d. de la cuve) [...] 1er quart 16e siècle [...] Couvercle refait [...] Plusieurs auteurs, à propos des fonts baptismaux, ont mentionne la date de 1511 ; celle-ci n'est plus visible ; peut-être est-elle masquée par le couvercle en bois rapporté ?"
