Octagonal mounted font date by an inscription to 1541. The basin is octagonal and has mouldings on the lower sides. The chamfer of the underbowl is ornamented with figures lying down and vines and other foliage. The stem of the base is octagonal and plain except for some mouldings. There is an inscription "en lettres minuscules gothiques et la date du 10 mars 1541." (Patrimoine..., Nièvre, 1999, v. 2, p. 897). The same source shows a basin insert made of local [i.e., Nevers] ceramic which it dates to the 19th century. Listed by Corblet (1881-1882) simply as being from 1541.
