Noted in Corblet (1881-1882) simply as being a font from the Romanesque period. Listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM24000107]: "Cuve baptismale datant du 12e siècle". Monolithic baptismal tub font of general round shape, but the multiple panels [16] makes it appear polygonal [hexadecagonal]; each panel contains a blind round arch supported on columns with capitals; these columns form the protruding arrises that makes the basin polygonal; the inner well is round, and there is depression in the upper surface of the rim, inner side, as it to fit a round cover in it. No cover present.
