Bovino

Baptismal font noted in Città di Bovino [https://www.comune.bovino.fg.it/bovino/zf/index.php/servizi-aggiuntivi/index/index/idtesto/20070] [accessed 4 April 2025]: "fonte battesimale, rappresentato da una grande vasca emisferica in pietra che poggia su una base decorata di stile bizantino." The vessel at Bovino S. Pietro's looks like a puzzle, and not a very good or interesting one at that. The coarse granite basin is oval and of uncertain date; the stem of the base is marble with round mouldings and obviously of very different paternity, as is the lower base, a square block (upside down?) with foliage motif on the sides.
