Illustrated in Borchgrave d'Altena (1971): a round Mosan-type basin with the four human heads at 90-degree angles; the one visible side of the basin has a Norman lion head with foliage under its chin and expanding to the sides down and up, as it is common in this motif; the base appears to be made of columns (?) and there is a round wooden cover with metalwork on it. Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/34405] [accessed 1 November 2023] with date 1101-1200, and noted as having the base columns restored; the restoration removed the large metal anchorings of the old cover [NB: they are actually replaced by much smaller ones]; they are still visible in the 1917-1918 pre-restoration photographs [cf. ImagesArea]. The UiT in Flaanderen entry for this church [https://www.uitinvlaanderen.be/agenda/e/sint-antoniuskerk-meerbeek/bfc7daff-c5e7-4430-b3eb-0114d5dd2507] [accessed 1 November 2023] notes an early-Romanesque font in its baptismal chapel ["In de doopkapel van de kerk van Meerbeek bevindt zich een vroegromaanse doopvont"]. The entry for this church in the Onroerenderfgoed.be [https://inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be/erfgoedobjecten/43369] [accessed 1 November 2023] reports a 12th-century font and a 16th-century holy-water stoup in it ["romaanse doopvont versierd met vier hoofden (12de eeuw) en gotisch wijwatervat (16de eeuw)].
