Described and illustrated in Vivier-Seguin as an octagonal granite font of the Renaissance period, probably from around the late 16th or early 17th century; each of the basin sides has a rectangular blind frame, except one of the sides which contains a carved fleur-de-lis in the frame; the base is a long upside-down truncated pyramid quite thin at the lower part, which rests on a square base with several mouldings (Vivier, 1941). Baptismal font listed in Palissy [ref.: PM50014079]: "Fonts baptismaux et leur bassin [...] Granite : taillé ; cuivre [...] Fonts baptismaux ornés de fleurs de lys et contenant une poêle à bouillie (?) [...] H = 104 ; la = 104 [...] Fonts du 17e siècle et poêle du 19e siècle [...] Collatéral nord du choeur".
